A youngish prisoner secretly entered the house of a feeble granny – and she became interested…

Life is full of trials and surprises that can change our fate in one moment. Sometimes it seems that forces leave us, and there is only darkness and despair ahead. But every difficulty, every trial is not just sent to us. They help us to become stronger, wiser, learn to appreciate the bright moments of life. After all, even the most difficult days come to an end, and every dark night always comes a dawn. Never let despair take over your heart. And this is what our life story is about today. Rosa Markovna woke up in a tiny dark room, where the air seemed immobile and suffocating. She looked with longing at a small window, hung by an old, faded cover.

I wonder how it is out there now. Has spring already come or not? Rosa thought. Suddenly the children have already dug up a garden for me.

Although, why bother with the old woman’s garden? They probably can’t wait for me to go to that world. She thought bitterly. A heavy emptiness crawled into her heart.

The premonition of a new day did not promise anything good. Well, another day I’m lying here like a stone nailed to a bed. I’m not happy with myself.

And what’s next? Rosa Markovna thought, practically not moving for more than two weeks. But it’s not old yet. Just recently the baptism was.

Just then she celebrated her 68 years. Tears immediately came to her eyes. She remembered how happy she was that she had lived to this age.

And how her eyes shone when she blew candles on the cake. But now, lying here alone, Rosa Markovna could hardly believe that one day she could also enjoy life. Oh, how hard it is to live! She whispered barely audible.

And another bitter tear rolled down her cheek. All troubles began on that gloomy Saturday when she had to go outside to the speaker to get some water. The cold, windy weather did not foretell anything bad.

But suddenly misfortune happened. She slipped on the ice so unsuccessfully that she fell. And she hit so hard that she could barely get back to her house.

The pain pierced her whole body. And every movement was given with incredible difficulty. When she got to her bed, the old woman, trembling with pain and fear, called her son Ivan to come and help her.

Only a few hours passed, but her condition worsened. Her arms and legs seemed to be petrified. They became as cold as ice.

And the body was chafed by an unfamiliar disease that paralyzed her movements. And now she is lying here and cannot even move her fingers. As if an iron chain was thrown on her.

When Ivan, her beloved son, came back from the city, he saw that his mother was lying motionless. Her eyes were full of pain, and instead of a voice, only a weak growl was coming out of her. As if she were not a human at all, but some kind of stealthy cow.

Ivan, not knowing what to do at all, grabbed his head. And in panic, he began to call his wife Svetlana. Sveta, mom is bad.

Very bad. She lies like a stone here. What should I do? His voice trembled.

Baba Rosa, having heard her son’s native voice, immediately felt relief, although small. Hope still warmed in her soul. Together they will figure out faster how to cure me.

Yes, and good doctors will probably be looked for. She thought. But contrary to all the hopes and expectations of the old woman, Svetlana’s daughter-in-law was in no hurry to go to the village to the sick mother-in-law.

Only two days later, on the threshold of the house, she and her granddaughter appeared. Sveta, entering the house, only threw a cold look at the lying elderly woman and was dissatisfied. Not hiding her irritation, she said in a vulgar way.
